Luke to Run the Cork City Marathon for the Foundation

Luke Jackson was diagnosed with Clear Cell Sarcoma in November 2023. The Sarcoma had developed in Luke’s wrist and in January he had surgery to amputate part of his lower right arm.

Luke is 29 years old and he first became aware of a lump in the wrist of his right hand during Covid lockdown. It was a discomfort rather than causing pain. Last summer he decided to get fit and resumed boxing training. This lead to him visiting a physio and being referred to hospital where he was diagnosed with Clear Cell Sarcoma in November 2023. He had surgery to amputate his lower right arm in January.

Luke is a lovely young man and is a training to run the Cork City Marathon, which is held on the 2nd June. Luke needs all the support we can give him to run a good race and have an enjoyable day.
