Cambridge University Air Squadron BBQ, Garden Party & Dinner

The Cambridge University Air Squadron (CUAS) was founded in 1925 and is the oldest university air squadron in the country.

CUAS are holding a Garden Party and Dinner in Cambridge on the 20th September for Officer Cadets and Alumni - which includes King Charles amongst its number.

We are honoured that the CUAS is supporting the Edward Showler Foundation to raise funds for research into Clear Cell Sarcoma.

The Edward Showler Foundation was set up in memory of Ed Showler. Ed was a young doctor who was diagnosed with metastatic Clear Cell Sarcoma in 2017 and died just 8 months later at the age of 28.
Clear Cell Sarcoma is a rare type of cancer that mainly affects young adults in their 20’s and 30’s and for which there is no effective treatment.

The Edward Showler Foundation is funding a research programme at University College London to better understand the disease and to provide new life saving treatments for Clear Cell Sarcoma patients.

To date the Foundation has raised over £1 million and is aiming to raise £1.5 million.

Ed wanted his life to make a difference but this was tragically cut short. Help make that difference for him by donating through the link below.

Thank you!
