Chris completes his second of the 12 Half-Marathons he is undertaking in 2026 in London

Chris Wheatley completed the second of the 12 half-marathons he is running in 2026 - one every month - to raise funds for Clear Cell Sarcoma research and to remember Sharni Ruming, who tragically died of Clear Cell Sarcoma in 2023 at the age of 30.

Sharni was an inspirational trainer and close friend of Chris and would have been proud of what he is trying to achieve.

On an awful February Sunday in London Chris completed the Hampton Court Half Marathon in 1 hour 49 minutes. After the race Chris said “It rained for the entirety of the time and was cold. My feet and arms were numb the whole race. The family were all wet and cold. It took me over an hour after the race to regain feeling in my fingers!

Well done Chris that is a brilliant effort. Chris’s next race is the Phoenix Cakeathon being held in about 2-weeks time in Kingston.
