Cork Triathlon Clubs Swim Raises over €4580 to Funds Clear Cell Sarcoma Research
Cork Triathlon Club and friends held a cold water swim in the Atlantic Ocean on the 6th December, to raise funds to support Clear Cell Sarcoma research.
Jane O'Keeffe, a long time member of Cork Triathlon Club, was diagnosis with Clear Cell Sarcoma 4-years ago. This diagnosis has had a massive impact on Jane, Jane's family and friends and her Cork Triathlon Club family.
Jane’s diagnosis resulted in the amputation of her right forearm in 2021, metastases to her axilla and liver in 2023, surgery and ablation to these areas in 2024 and further metastases to the axilla, liver and scapula area in 2025.
Jane continues to keep fit, shows amazing courage and resilience and continues to raises funds to help find a cure for Clear Cell Sarcoma. So far the swim has raised €4,581, over 300% more than the target initially set.
